What any close contact with Nature really does for a person's culture is to get culture itself into focus; so that no tricky affectations or morbid self-consciousnesses, no melodramatics with regard to art or with regard to one's own originality, spoil one's stark, simple, natural, proud-humble contentment at being exactly what Nature has made one to be.
